May Badin Lake trip

Yea!! The lake gets easier and easier for us with each passing summer! We've really got it down to a science now and we're taking advantage of Dayton and Debbie's generous offers to bring friends down. The downstairs setup makes an easy time of putting the kids down and still letting the grown ups (egad- are we grown ups??) stay up and drink and play cards...which is really all I did in college so I'll just pretend I'm not actually grown up.
This past Memorial Day weekend we had some sweet friends join us. Unfortunately, the sun made its final appearance at approximately 10am on Saturday. Oh well- we made the most of Saturday.

Reese's Dora fishing pole (and Makena's princess pole) are the hits of the summer! Reese is our consummate animal lover and had to kiss every fish she caught.
Makena is our consummate watermelon lover and kissed every piece of watermelon she ate. There was much smooching going on.
