While Daddy's away...

Brett headed off to the NC mountains last weekend for our church's annual Men's Retreat. Between mountain biking and poker, they did manage to get some good bonding time in (or so I'm told). Meanwhile, back at the ranch, Makena and Reese and I over-scheduled ourselves into exhaustion with things like...
Strawberry eating....er...picking (holy moly did those strawberries make some good ice cream later)
We spent a good chunk of time swimming
They even decided the dogs must be onto something when it comes to beating the heat- so they laid in the monkey grass- hey- whatever keeps them entertained.
And here we are, not even at age 4 and 3 yet, staring one of women's lifelong dilemmas straight in the behind. When the size of your top half doesn't match the size of your bottom half, sometimes you wind up with droopy drawers.
